The Coffee House at West End Restaurants in Houston, TX

the coffee house at west end

Los Angeles’s coffee scene is as distinct as its 75 miles of coastline and majestic mountains. Operators obsessed with sourcing the finest coffee beans and mastering roasting and brewing techniques mean that the city’s caffeine culture will continue to thrive. Add in Southern California’s multitude of cultures and the results are excellent pour-overs, espresso drinks, cold brews, Mexican mochas, and cà phê trứng (Vietnamese egg coffee). Here are 19 exceptional coffee bars in Los Angeles. Part coffee shop, part subscription service, Dayglow is all about showcasing its favorite independent and up-and-coming roasters from around the world. You can find them stashed in the monthly coffee boxes, or drop by either the Silver Lake or West Hollywood locations for a full espresso menu, neon-lit settings and, of course, whatever the daily selection of these faves might be.

The holiday park operator's Minehead resort was forced to close in September 2023 because of flooding caused by heavy rainfall. “This building has a lot of sentimental value to us and our family,” said Justin. The Coffee House at West End has been brought back to life as a great place to build relationships, make new friends and enjoy an amazing cup of coffee. The Oaxacan mocha is the most popular drink at BLVD MRKT’s Cafe Santo. This Oaxacan coffee bar is stationed right at the entry to the shipping container food hall and serves brioche french toast, breakfast sandwiches, and quiche as well.

To help you find the perfect brew, we’ve sipped our way through the best spots in town—check out our guide, refuel and get back out there. From lavender-flavored lattes to single-origin pour-overs, here are our favorite coffee shops across L.A. It is worth the trek to Orange County’s Little Saigon for Trung Nguyên Legend Café. Vietnam’s legendary cafe opened in 2023 and serves phin- (coffee made with a Vietnamese filter) and espresso-based coffee drinks using Vietnamese-grown robusta and arabica beans from Buôn Ma Thuột. Everything tastes smooth without an ounce of coffee bean bitterness. Make time to try the dine-in coffee service presented on ornate wooden trays.

Is working from home more like working from the couch? These coffee shops can give you a change of scenery (and snacks). The Coffee House at West End exists to serve our community through our love for people and our love for coffee. Our mission is to create a space where people from all walks of life can gather to join with us in our pursuit of meaningful relationships and high-quality coffee. A local favorite, Rose Park Roasters has three locations throughout Long Beach. If ordering from the Fourth Street outlet, take a seat and enjoy the floor-to-ceiling windows and house-made pastries.

For those not near Hollywood, find additional locations in Exposition Park, Baldwin Hills, and Jefferson Park/West Adams. Culver City's modernist Cognoscenti Coffee started in 2009 and is staffed by friendly baristas who know everything about coffee. Cognoscenti doesn’t use fancy drink names and focuses on producing quality drip coffee, cappuccino, lattes, and cold brew in the Fashion District, Downtown LA, and Culver City. This 3 story coffee shop is a great place to grab coffee and get some work done with beautiful views. By far one of my favorite coffee shops to visit. Highly Likely keeps things light during daytime hours with breakfast and lunch fare, plus a robust coffee menu prepared by Dayglow’s Emily Elmore from 8 a.m.

Prepare to stay awhile at Mandarin Coffee in Pasadena, which is located at the Burlington Arcade’s glass-covered courtyard. This Asian and woman-owned cafe offers a seating area as enjoyable as the espresso drinks, like the cappuccino made with espresso and sweetened coconut cream. The coffee at Koreatown’s Memorylook is as excellent as its matcha lattes, giant matcha brulee, and tiramisu doughnuts. Memorylook is an ideal cafe to work from with indoor and outdoor seating, but gets incredibly busy, so plan accordingly. If headed to Community Goods during busy hours, settle into the line with a book or a podcast. The queue is consistent, as are the stellar coffee drinks like the einspänner latte with sweetened cream, cocoa powder, double espresso, and a pinch of salt.

Hyper curated and hyper technical, Highland Park's Kumquat Coffee is a caffeine lover's paradise. They also offer fresh pastries and breakfast burritos, just in case all that caffeine isn't fuel enough. No matter which location you visit, the beans at Boy & the Bear get roasted three times a week, which makes a major difference in the quality of each cup.

This spacious and stylish coffee destination is busy no matter the time of day—no surprise, seeing as it’s one of Highland Park’s top shops to grab a cup and a croissant, now with a second location in Downtown L.A.'s Fashion District. The original location's tall ceilings, tiled floors and diverse seating options spread between tables, couches and a patio out back make for a fashionable setting, while the toasts, breakfast burritos, and Sugarbloom Bakery pastries make for a solid meal. The espresso blend rotates frequently, but teas and specialty coffee drinks remain more or less the same. We love the Figueroa, made with sweetened condensed milk, espresso, milk and cinnamon, topped with a Maria Cookie.

Would definitely go back for the study/work vibes and croissants but not for the coffee. Katie Lawrence is a Southeast Texas native who graduated 18th in her high school class with a GPA of 4.25.

It's always busy but you can always find a place to sit and enjoy a cup! The staff is friendly and the drinks are always great. My favorite spot is the rooftop to sit and look over downtown and enjoy the outside. I haven't tried the food, but the coffee is always on point.

The Coffee House at West End is a great space for community and corporate events, birthday parties, weddings and more. To avoid a situation where the SONIA rate goes above the rate it is charging borrowers, which would leave the bank or building society lending at a loss, the lender will seek to enter a "swap" arrangement which protects them from such a situation. The colorful facade, warm interior, and honey lavender lattes are what make Bloom & Plume one of LA’s most stylish coffee bars. Co-owner Maurice Harris has ample skill as an artist and floral designer and obsesses over both in his Historic Filipinotown cafe.

Both coffee shops roast their own beans and make all alternative milks and syrups in-house, for quality you can taste in every sip. In a big way—especially in its new-ish Arts District location, a 7,000-square-foot, two-story café and coffee roastery that's now the L.A. The all-day menu here features a flexible kind of global cuisine, not to mention a handful of truly good coffee-based mocktails exclusive to that space.

For the double-stripe effect, Moore says that she used an 11-millimeter brush to make the lines, which is about 0.4 inches. After filling in one line with your choice of polish, Moore says to wait until the first side is dry before moving on to the second. This design proves that an elaborate pattern is definitely not necessary when upping your at-home manicure abilities. With the polish colors of your choice, decorating tools, stickers, and this list of inspired simple manicure looks, you'll be a DIY nail pro and won't run out of ideas anytime soon.

As noted by Glamour, velvet nails — where the tip of the nail is used as a canvas of sorts — are taking over social media. Some people have taken the theme of velvet seriously and have added glittery polish to their nail tips that creates a texture and movement. Others have added design elements to the tips of their nails (keeping that velvet/glitter look, mind you) to create a daring look. If you've ever attempted a polka dot manicure only to find it's hard to keep polish from spreading out unevenly, this design will let you give yourself a break. The splatter designs against a clear background look ultra-cool, no uniformity required. A punchy look like this requires hyper-saturated colors.

Start at the tip of your nail when crafting your stripes. You can recreate this look in the colors of your favorite superhero for your next movie marathon or themed party. Leave your entire nail polish-free except for two circles overlapping each other on the side, top, or bottom of your nail. Use a pair of nail stickers to make it super easy or try creating the circles freehand.

Nothing reminds us of spring and warmer weather like a sunset. With the side of a disposable foam eye shadow applicator, she applied the pink coat, then waited for it to dry a bit before adding the purple, then the blue, so they all blended together. Two coats later, she used the tip of the applicator to add the clouds for the perfect spring nails. Manicurist Queenie Nguyen's favorite nail design for spring is a micro French manicure.

We're glad that she experimented with the look, because it's inspired a bunch of mid-century looks. So don't be afraid to do some color blocking, to add some minimal stripe detailing, and to switch up your go-to color of light pink or nude with a fun purple or green. This is the year to go a little bit more bold with your nails, so even if you want a nail design that is professional and toned down but still fun, this is the look for you. Don't settle for the square French tip anymore — we're past that.

And we love the contrast of a glitter chrome tip against a light pink base color. Try Côte no. 94 Graphite Grey ($18) nail polish to achieve a metallic tip. Some of the best simple nail designs are carefully curated palettes. This one gives us serious golden hour vibes, with a different color on each nail ranging from burnt caramel to periwinkle. If the question is confetti nails, the answer is always yes. Do an accent nail with the rest of your nails in one of the confetti colors, or really go for it and put a party on all ten fingertips.

Nail designs have always been a fresh way to represent your personal style, and the trend of cute nails is not going anywhere this year. But while nail designs of the past consisted of pastel polka dots and the infamous "party nail," 2021 looks are a bit more sophisticated. After painting a base coat of your favorite color—we like the subtle navy shimmer shown here—use a detail brush to add a white contrast dot.

We’ve got you covered from creative and classic styles and designs to the most gorgeous nail shapes and colors. Make a hot coral shade sizzle with bursts of metallic gold for a july 4th fireworks-inspired nail art design. Simple silver stripes add an elegant metallic touch to this on-trend look. For a bright pop of art (that is still neutral enough to match every single outfit), paint some geometric shapes onto your nails with pure white polish. Bring a seriously joyful aura to your next manicure with bright yellow smiley faces painted all over. Try a neutral base to soften the look or double down on brightness with a contrasting neon.

You can place the pick in the middle of the nail polish and circle it outward for a hypnotic swirl, or drag the polish vertically instead of horizontally as Dall'Asen did. Using two shades makes the process a little faster, but there's really no limit to the number of colors you can combine with this method. New York City-based nail artist Gina Edwards says she likes to use a pointed kitchen knife to drag wet polishes into fun patterns in the same way. Nail artist Holly Falcone told Vogue that nail stickers are making a huge splash in 2021 nail designs, especially considering that many nail artists are releasing their own stickers. Who wouldn't want to buy nail stickers from people who create gorgeous nails for a living? "Art on a negative space look less grown-out than a full-coverage manicure," Falcone said, highlighting just how great minimal designs will look for 2021.

Tie-dye is slowly emerging as the nail trend of the summer — Kylie Jenner even posted her take on the look a few days ago. Regardless of your nail length, maintaining strong, healthy nails will always enhance any design. Long nails may be all the rage right now, but there’s definitely still space for short nails to have their moment. As stars like Sofia Richie Grainge can attest, short nails can be just as elegant and chic as their lengthier counterparts. If you work a lot with your hands, short nails present far more of a practical option than long talons, plus they work well with a more natural beauty look, if that’s your aesthetic. Salon after her great-grandmother and her grandmother—and from its name to its décor, you can tell the place has cozy, familial vibes.

Maybe it's just us, but these metallic, almond-shaped nails remind us of all things Sailor Moon. A pale pink manicure with tips in shiny silver instead of the traditional French? Perfect for a summer pool day, these neon digits will make a head-turning statement. You don't have to wear these rainbow acrylics during Pride month to show off your spirit.

Take cues from beauty risk-taker Megan Fox, who debuted a very similar baby blue and bright pink “cotton candy aura” manicure just a few months back. Simply take your favorite glittery polish and make cross designs on each nail for an understated, yet classic look. Chilly weather calls for a hot cup of coffee or cocoa, and these chocolate swirl nails hit the spot.

Spring is the perfect time for a refresh, whether it be in our wardrobes (it’s time to swap out those heavy layers) or on our fingertips. We’re most excited about the latter (naturally) and are already torn between which spring nail designs to try first. Will it be a vibrant, floral French manicure or pastel swirls on short nails?

Use your favorite shade of bright purple nail polish to create a gorgeous aura design. To get the look, start at the center of your nail and softly fan out towards the edges for a subtle glow effect. Nail artist Gina Edwards told Allure that she came up with a mid-century modern look sort of by accident. She was using different hues of purple and a pure white nail polish and started to improvise. "There was no guide for this look," she said about the look, which ended up featuring different color blocked sections on the nail. "I ended up blending some colors by Emilie Heathe and decided to make a grid on the nail."

A satisfying meal at a steakhouse in Tokyo usually costs around 8,000 to 30,000 yen for a medium quality steak. A single steak made from higher quality beef, specifically Kobe beef, may cost up to $400 in the US or $200 in Japan. But, you can also get high-quality beef in Kobe at midday for less than $50 per person, therefore the cost of Kobe beef in Japan is often lower than half that of other countries. Kobe beef is regarded as the priciest and most sought-after beef in the world, with individual servings sometimes costing more than $200.

It has developed into an extremely famous restaurant in recent years and is inundated with bookings. One of the greatest ways to taste Japanese Wagyu Beef is through teppanyaki, or grilling on an iron griddle in the Japanese style. Hakushu, a genuine Teppanyaki restaurant that opened in the 1960s, serves exquisite Kobe meat, the highest-rated Wagyu beef in Japan. The restaurant has been included in the rankings several times and was awarded first place for “Best fine dining restaurant in Japan” by Tripadvisor in 2016. We believe a perfect balance of meat and sauce is the key to a tasty BBQ. Our dipping sauce made from a stock of vegetables and fruits has never changed since the birth of Manpuku 80 years ago.

This steakhouse is in the traditional Japanese manner, and is able to provide high-quality Kobe Beef meals at extremely reasonable costs. Hibachi cooking, also known as Teppanyaki, is a style of Japanese food preparation where guests gather around the hibachi grill and look on as chefs sear their food to perfection. Throughout dinner, chefs display knife skills and their mastery of the grill to entertain and delight.

Inspired Japanese Cuisine

Take note of their addresses and drop by anytime when you visit Tokyo. The ideal way to eat a steak, according to chef Michael Lomonaco, is rare to medium rare. The finest way to cook beef is medium rare because it gives the meat its greatest and purest flavor and enables for a charred exterior and cool interior.

Fresh vegetables are delivered directly from Manpuku’s contract farms, offering only the highest quality seasonal varieties to complement the Yakiniku experience. You can order the sukiyaki meal to taste the meat in a more classical way. But, their kaiseki menu, which features Kobe steak in practically every course, is much more fascinating and swoon-worthy.

The texture and taste of the meat begins to suffer at any temperature higher than medium-rare. The restaurant serves it “black and blue beef” which is a technique of cooking the steak very fast at high heat, keeping the exterior seared crispy and the interior staying juicy and rare. This gives guests the opportunity to experience the delectable flavor to the fullest.

Because it’s so precious and hard to find, Kobe beef is usually very expensive. Hiroyuki Kawamura is notable for his Western-influenced culinary techniques and strict adherence to provenance. Wagyu tartare is as silky as pure silk, the clear, rich beef consommé is astonishing in its flavor, and the blushing steak is so soft you might also cut it with a spoon.

House sparrow Urban, Passer Domesticus, Invasive Species

house sparrows

It is in many ways a remarkable bird, believed to be one of the oldest known bird species and a marvel of adaptation. Even if you aren't a birding enthusiast, you will quickly recognize this smallish bird (about 6 inches from head to tip of tail). Females and young birds are pale brown and grey, while the mature males have brighter black, white, and brown markings. House sparrows have stubby, squared-off tails, and the thick conical beaks common to other seed-eating species, such as finches. These little birds have a fondness for dust-bathing, and you will often see them in summer raising up dust clouds with their fluttering wings.

Species names in all available languages

Both sexes defend the nest, brood the eggs and care for the young, though females put more effort into the brooding than males (Figure 1d; Anderson, 2006). House sparrows typically begin breeding during the first year of life, but breeding success is comparatively low in younger breeders (Hatch and Westneat, 2007). House sparrow, (Passer domesticus), one of the world’s best-known and most abundant small birds, sometimes classified in the family Passeridae (order Passeriformes).

Animals

Simply restricting the size of the entrance hole of a nest box should be enough to give the smaller birds access while keep starlings out. If your target species are larger cavity-nesting birds, like American Kestrels, you may have to actively deter starlings from your area. Attract Harris’s Sparrows to your backyard in winter with black oil sunflower seeds, millet, and cracked corn.

Managing House Sparrows and European Starlings

Insects also make up some of their diets, such as ants, beetles, butterflies, and termites. Golden-crowned Sparrows breed in Alaska and western Canada before migrating to the West Coast for winter. The colors are duller and brown on the crown in winter, and the yellow forehead is also duller. They are more commonly seen from September to April, but some hang around all year and appear in 6% of summer checklists. Black-chinned Sparrows are not very common in California, but they can mostly be spotted in the south of the state during summer, from April to June.

house sparrows

The female does most of the incubation initially and settles for about 50% of the time towards the end of the incubation period. The exterior part of the nest is built with coarse material, including dry grasses, twigs, pieces of plastic, paper, and strings. The cup inside the dome is lined with fine material that includes hair, mammal fur, feathers, and other fine fibers. Young birds form flocks that move about in search of suitable places to colonize and breed. Adults also form flocks that center around sources of food, roosting, and nesting sites.

Their chests and bellies are white with a dark spot in the center. Vesper Sparrows spend the summer breeding in the northern half of the US, southern Canada, and down into southwestern US states. Then, they migrate to southern US states and Mexico for winter. Golden-crowned Sparrows are most commonly seen in California from September to May. They are the fifth most commonly spotted sparrows here during winter and are recorded in 22% of checklists at this time.

house sparrows

These small, plain birds of the northern prairies and Great Plains have distinctive head markings which set them apart from other sparrows. They have a gray collar around their necks and long notched tails. Nests of Sagebrush Sparrows are found within sagebrush or saltbush. They are built low to the ground and made out of twigs and sticks and lined with grass and weeds. Females lay three to four eggs that hatch within sixteen days. The young leave their nest around eleven days after hatching.

After becoming common in North American cities where they were intentionally released in the nineteenth century, House Sparrows colonized farmyards and barns during the twentieth century. With the recent industrialization of farms, House Sparrows now seem to be declining across most of their range. To continue feeding birds without attracting house sparrows, birders should fill feeders with Nyjer, safflower seeds, suet, nectar, fruit, and nuts, none of which are preferred by these aggressive birds. House sparrows are flexible and may still sample these foods, but they aren't as likely to overcrowd feeders without their favorite treats.

Chipping Sparrows lay up to seven eggs and up to three broods a year. The eggs take around two weeks to hatch, and the young fledge in under two weeks. Their eggs take under two weeks to hatch and a further two weeks for the chicks to fledge.

These clever little birds occasionally take up residence in warehouses, large stores, and shopping mall food courts. Here they are protected from the elements and provided plenty of (our) food. Finally and importantly, promptly install a vent cover to keep other sparrows, and other birds, out. All ecosystems change, but human environments often change rapidly. If we’re thinking about protecting biodiversity in cities – and in a world that will have 9 billion people, we have to – we have to think about how changes impact wildlife.

Members of both sexes are brown backed with black streaks throughout this area. Males have white cheeks and a black bib, while females do not. Attract American Tree Sparrows to your backyard platform feeders with black oil sunflower seeds, nyjer, cracked corn, and millet. They also feed seeds dropped on the ground from tube feeders. Lark Buntings breed in central states and southern Canada and migrate to the southern Great Plains and northern Mexico for winter.

Just as modification to a tropical forest affects wildlife, so too do changes in farming practices, changes in city design, even changes in bird feeding habits. Young are born in a relatively underdeveloped state; they are unable to feed or care for themselves or locomote independently for a period of time after birth/hatching. Living in the Nearctic biogeographic province, the northern part of the New World. This includes Greenland, the Canadian Arctic islands, and all of the North American as far south as the highlands of central Mexico. The House Sparrow is distributed worldwide (excluding the Poles). Its introduction into North America occured in 1851, when a group of 100 birds from England was released in Brooklyn, New York.

Introducing Define 7 and Define 7 XL

fractal design define 7

It’s a lightweight load, and goes to show that only the truly terrible designs -- like the DTW case -- are able to deviate in big ways from the mean. As soon as the Define 7 was out of the box, we noticed how lightly tinted the glass was. The Define 7 TG comes in both dark tint and light tint versions, and the light tinted version with a white interior is a stark contrast to almost every other tinted glass case we’ve reviewed. For whatever reason, case manufacturers have tended towards extremely dark glass tints for years, which is a step back from the transparent plastic windows that were more common in the olden days (a decade ago). The choice is there for customers who want the dark tint, but we much prefer clear glass that lets the white interior shine. The area behind the motherboard tray features plenty of tie down points and integrated cable guides to aid in cable management.

Compact yet spacious

The tempered-glass side panel is attached to a metal frame that eliminates the need for rubber-coated locating pins or hinges. The panel on the opposite side of the chassis is a solid stamped steel panel with a thick layer of sound damping material and is held in place by the same push-to-lock system as the tempered glass panel. On the right is a much more complex and irregular pattern with recognizably similar fractal properties, a traditional urban neighborhood in Baghdad, Iraq. Notice the similar patterning at different scales of bordering spaces and alternating patterns of indoor-outdoor space. For the CPU-sorted results, the Define 7 improves from 62.5 degrees stock to 56.2 degrees just by replacing the fans with significantly better ones.

Airflow and cooling

By default, as shipped from the factory, the chassis can be outfitted with seven 3.5-inch spinning disks and two SSDs. The Define 7 has a single 5.25-inch drive bay slot for those of you still using optical drives or 5.25-inch drive bay accessories. The Fractal Design Define 7 mid-tower chassis comes in black, grey or white with the option of a tempered glass side panel.

Introducing Define 7 Compact

Of course, the downside to noise-focused cases is that you can often outperform them both acoustically and thermally with an open panel, since you don’t have to run RPM as high to counter the front panel. The 56.2-degree standardized fan result has it toward the bottom of the chart, second-worst only to the Bitfenix Enso. That’s not a good result, and reinforces the Define 7’s particularly weak CPU cooling.

Define 7 XL

These boundaries are wonderfully complex structures in themselves and self-organize into larger patterns (doors or windows that become shared types over time, and neighborhoods that develop characteristic interface patterns of porches or colonnades). Just as biological structures and computer algorithms spontaneously repeat their geometric patterns at different scales, so do we, unless we’re forced to do otherwise either by legislation or by ideology. Individuals might make small repetitions of a pattern (a rectangular room shape) while groups might make larger versions of the same pattern (a courtyard) and larger groups might make a still larger one (an urban plaza). The Fractal Design Define 7 features a dual layout design that, while configured in the standard "open" layout, can accommodate up to three 3.5 -inch hard drives and four 2.5-inch drives simultaneously. The alternate "server" layout allows you to add an additional eight hard drive mounting locations in the main compartment, though only four hard drive caddies are included from the factory. An optional hard drive tray kit can be purchased separately for $10 / £9.29  from Fractal Design.

Superlative storage

fractal design define 7

Most of the air that the GPU pulls is coming through the rear PCIe slot covers and vertical PCIe slot covers, which is unaffected from front panel changes. All of that extra air intake from the front goes straight to the CPU. There are some small frequency steps in some of these, but nothing significant.

The front I/O still includes a full complement of four USB type A ports (two 3.0 and two 2.0) as well as a USB C port and separate mic and headphone jacks. The PSU attaches to a frame and is inserted into the rear of the case, which is fairly common but always an appreciated feature in cases with PSU shrouds. The top radiator mount is a removable tray, but even more so than usual, allowing most of the top of the case to be lifted off rather than just a discrete tray.

For thermal testing in this review, we’re testing four total variations of the Fractal Define 7 alongside all the other cases. We sometimes have complaints about things like drive sleds being made available for purchase separately rather than all being included with the case, but seven is a lot of HDDs. Obviously using the space at the front of the case for anything else, like radiators or reservoirs or an optical drive, will reduce the number of drives supported. The HDD cage under the PSU shroud fits two drive sleds, but with so many mounting options inside the case, that’s barely worth mentioning. What is worth mentioning is that Fractal has fully taken advantage of the extremely long case form factor by mounting the cage on rails that allow it to be placed anywhere from right against the PSU to flush with the front panel. Even better, the rails can be used to mount HDDs or fans directly to the bottom of the chassis as well.

Concealed storage

From an evolutionary point of view, it’s evident that we perceive these relationships because they are supremely useful to us. They help us understand the structure of choices that our environments present, and how the different alternatives might offer us different benefits. Importantly, fractal urban structures typically provide multiple combinations of benefits that work in synergy. And our pleasurable perception of fractals is probably related to this too. For example, the branching, layered, fractal-like paths we can take within a city help us carry out many different tasks simultaneously.

Fractal structures also give us other kinds of useful information, like complex relationships among environmental elements. The order of an essential but non-graspable structure, like an ecosystem, is more intelligible to us because we can detect the symmetrical fractal patterns of its plants and animals—another important evolutionary need. In modern times we have a greater need for urban environments to be legible to us, and there is evidence that we do this by reading fractal relationships in buildings and details (after all, we have evolved with this sense).

While I would like a quiet case, I also want great airflow and optimal cooling to ensure maximum performance (without any throttling due to heat). Some noise due to fans is okay if it helps to ensure optimal performance... Fractal’s Define 7 shows itself again underwhelming for CPU performance, ranking toward the lower third of results. The Define 7 is near the S2 Vision, which is one of the worst cases we’ve tested recently, and the C700P. That said, none of these are particularly bad in CPU thermals, and Blender doesn’t establish much of a top-to-bottom difference to begin with.

Now, of course, a higher power load configuration might be different, so keep in mind that big overclocks or poor GPU coolers would potentially change this statement. The new Define 7 Compact takes the strongest features of the contemporary 7 Series design and places them in a conveniently compact frame. Nikos A. Today we’re reviewing the Define 7, successor to the Define R6, a case that fell on the positive end of that scale in our review. We’re sure there’s some reason for Fractal dropping the “R,” but we neglected to ask. In "storage" mode, the chassis can accommodate up to 15 drives using optional brackets.

The GPU thermals put the Define 7 actually very near the top of the chart. This, we think, is again because of the GPU intake through the rear of the case as a result of the pressure system being created. The front panel of the case is a sticking point for us, as it always is with Fractal’s non-Meshify cases, but we’ll save most of that discussion for the thermal and noise testing sections.

Boards this size are uncommon, but there’s very little stopping the Define 7 from fitting it, or at least being easily moddable to fit it. As it is, the reinforcing lip at the edge of the motherboard tray and the lack of standoff holes would make it risky at best to install the SR-3 in this case. Fractal could sell a tray extension for the Define 7 as it is now, but the raised lip would still touch the back of the board. This is something very few cases get right, because “E-ATX” doesn’t really mean anything when it comes to a defined width; at least, not in the same way that ATX does.

What Are the 9 Most Popular Exterior House Colors in 2023?

exterior house colors 2023

The tone is light enough to create interest but not so dark that would overwhelm the eye. Exterior paint color trends typically evolve on an annual basis, although not every homeowner chooses to repaint their home that frequently. The changes in trends are often influenced by shifts in design aesthetics, cultural movements, and societal moods. Renowned paint manufacturers release their "Color of the Year" annually, showcasing the hues they predict will be popular in the coming year.

Cloud Cover by Benjamin Moore

Using the warmer tints of color themes with a simple white trim visually brings the home closer to the curb to make your home stand out in your neighborhood. Once you’ve selected a basic color, it’s easy to create many different and warmer versions within the same family. All you need to do is combine that color with a neutral in order to make it warmer or cooler, lighter or darker. Paint color trends come and go but, when it comes to exterior paint colors for 2023, many of the palettes popular last year continue to ring true. Not your average gray, this shade features a light blue tone, which makes all the difference.

Off-White and Ink Black

exterior house colors 2023

Bold, moody, and versatile, charcoal black will never go out of style. As an exterior paint color, it’s sleek and hides any dirt or debris buildup. For the Wyoming home of Emily Janak, the designer chose a black protective coating to update the previously mint green and white one. Go for an earthy color palette of dark gray-green paired with wood and stone for an exterior that feels grounding.

Why Exterior Colors Matter

It’s neutral enough to easily blend in with other colors, yet bold enough to make a statement as the main color. Green shades bring a sense of peace, serenity and harmony to your home while they signify hope, good health and nature. Greenery has a calming effect that adds sophistication to the exterior of any house. It can also be used as an accent to compliment other colors or used as the main color of your house. Shades of green can provide a bright, fresh look to any home and complements natural elements in the environment like trees and foliage. “Color can make a big impact on the look of a house,” confirms architect Jim Rill, principal of Rill Architects, in Bethesda, Maryland.

White shades bring a sense of light and airiness to the home that can make it look bigger and brighter than it actually is. The neutral tones are also calming on the eyes and in turn lend themselves to creating a peaceful atmosphere outside and inside the home. In addition, white shades provide a great backdrop to bolder colors on the trim and accents for a modern, eye-catching look. As we enter into the new year, exterior house colors are shifting to reflect the newest trends and preferences. With homebuyers wanting to make their houses stand out from the rest, exterior trends are rapidly changing and different shades are becoming increasingly popular.

By the way, save time and effort with this colorimeter instead of trying to match paint colors with a physical fan deck. “Pale greens are a great alternative to classic white as they'll neutralize when drenched in sunlight, but become more nuanced and subtle in the shade,” says O’Donnell. Then add subtle contrast with a distinct black, as designer Shazalynn Cavin Winfrey did for her Texas home by painting the windows and doors in Jet Black by Benjamin Moore.

#2 // Regent Green

For this Michigan home, Liz Hoekzema selected Rock Bottom by Sherwin-Williams. It works nicely with the walnut, oak, soapstone, and marble materials used outside and inside the house. Looking to renovate your home’s outer appearance by trying something new? Give one of these 2024 trending exterior house colors a try, and you’ll be sure to upgrade your home’s curb appeal with Allura in no time.

Tips to Nail Your Summer Painting Projects

Everglade Deck by Valspar is the ideal choice for anyone looking to add some fun, vibrant colors to their home. This deep and rich green with hints of blue will truly make your home stand out from the rest. Vining Ivy by Glidden is a light and airy hue of green that gives off a natural feeling. This color will bring a sense of calm and tranquility to your home, perfect for a subtle yet striking look. Software is a warm blue-gray that lends a certain fresh, coastal aesthetic to any home. We love pairing Software with wood and copper accents to pull out its warmth.

“The slightly more saturated shutters and door provide a sophisticated accent and bring in the tones of sky and sea.” Seen here are Sherwin-Williams’s Comfort Gray (SW 6205) and Rain (SW 6219). Using a mixture of different textures on a home, such as siding, wood, and stone, is a smart way to create depth and visual interest. We frequently do this on contemporary homes, like the one above, but we’re getting an increasing number of requests for this treatment from clients with other home styles, too. Taking things a couple of steps darker, we find ourselves with Regent Green.

Grant Beige is a particular favorite of our expert exterior designers because of its versatility. It has an equal mix of gray and beige tones with slight green undertones. On the contemporary home above, the designer suggested Grant Beige as a field color because it brings warmth and softness as a balance to all of the square edges.

Adding decking to your home is a great way to increase the livability of your outdoor space. Decking can be used as a platform for entertaining, or it can be incorporated into a second story design. Sustainability is an important factor in all aspects of life, and the same should be true for your house.

Natural stone and architectural windows by Pella complete the Atlanta home’s fresh feel. With so many style options available today, it can be overwhelming when deciding which shade of paint will make your house stand out. Spanish Moss by Krylon is a beautiful deep green shade that will bring life to any home exterior.

Benjamin Moore Fieldstone

Unlike beige, pure white isn’t the best choice to pair with this unique hue, so opt for muted variations. It can stand alone as a home’s main exterior color or work in a color-blocked situation like the one above, where it’s used on the siding along with Benjamin Moore’s Cheating Heart, wood, and stone. After the success of last year’s Best Exterior House Colors for 2022, Ondemand Painters has compiled a list of the top exterior colors for 2023. These trends range from bold statements to subtle hues, so there’s something for everyone when it comes to exterior house painting this year. Last but certainly not least on our list of the best Sherwin Williams’ exterior paint colors for 2023 is Mountain Road.

Why Exterior Colors Matter

Take inspiration from the New York City building where designer Eliza Crater Harris resides. The ruby red brick exterior features a navy blue painted door, white windows, and a brownstone entry frame. The traditional combination can easily be replicated with red, navy blue, white, and brown paints.

#9 // Black Beauty

Colorful shutters can also add dimension and personality to your home’s exterior. Our designers tend to use Mindful Gray on traditional-leaning homes, but, as you can see above, it also works on more modern dwellings. We love how it makes the wood siding pop and creates contrast with the dark trim, siding, and roof. Whether lime green or citrus orange, add something unexpected to your home’s decor this year.

It’s perfect for modern homes that need to blend in naturally with the landscape. The color won’t stand out too much, but it also will not fade into the background completely. This versatile hue pairs well with many other colors and can be used for accents or as the main color for a home. It’s perfect for homeowners who want to add a touch of nature to their exterior without being too flashy or eccentric. The hue of this exterior house color is ideal for embracing natural sunlight and capturing the ambiance of nature.

a.k.a. Caroline on Design

This color is perfect for making your home stand out from the crowd in the most delightful way. The combination of these colors gives it an earthy yet romantic feel that can add warmth and character to any exterior. Agreeable Gray gives homeowners a unique opportunity to create a chic exterior without being too overwhelming or busy. It's the perfect choice for modern homes, traditional homes, and everything in between - its versatility allows it to be paired with almost any other exterior color combination. Incorporating a pop of color into your home design is a fun way to boost curb appeal and add personality. We’ve written before about how much we love a colorful front door, but that’s not the only design element that allows for experimentation.

Luckily, in 2023, what's trending is rooted in timeless style–classic neutrals, moody grays and blacks, and a whole spectrum of greens that feel right at home among lush Southern landscapes. These trending palettes work just as well on shutters and trim as they do siding and brick. Whether you're looking for a big change or subtle update, one of these trends may be just the fix to zhuzh up your home's exterior in 2023. Earth tones like olive or sage green and variations of brown also appear prominently in exterior color palettes. Sherwin Williams’ Andiron is flying under the radar right now, but we think that will change in 2023.

Sage Green

Color-blocking allows you to experiment with deep, moody charcoal colors (on one or more section(s) of your white house) without committing to painting your entire house a dark color. In this post, we’re covering 7 home exterior design trends that we’re going to see on homes in 2023. Senior Color Designer, Sue Kim of Valspar, believes 2019 will be all about high-intensity shades that mimic artificial light. “Smart technology in the home is driving the color experience differently,” Kim said.

Ultimately, the best brand may depend on the specific needs and preferences of the homeowner. While we love Mountain Road as a field color, it’s also an excellent choice as an accent. On the designs above and below, we used Mountain Road with Shoji White on the cladding. In this choice color scheme, our favored gray-green provides depth and dimension to the larges swaths of warm off-white. With the explosion of minimalist modern styles, layers of black are trending as a striking home exterior color.

Are you considering repainting your home’s exterior in the year ahead but unsure what shade to select? Don’t worry — our roundup of the best Sherwin Williams exterior paint colors for 2023 is full of inspiration. To compile this list, we examined the colors we’re loving right now that we expect to remain popular in 2023, as well as hues we’re excited to use more often going forward. Raspberry Blush by Benjamin Moore is a beautiful shade of coral tinged with pink. This color is perfect for making a bold statement on exterior walls, and it’s sure to turn heads.

Raccoon Fur is a near-black paint color that can bring unique character to your home’s exterior. It’s a rich, inky hue with an LRV of 6.34 and strong blue and violet undertones. We love using Raccoon Fur as a field color on modern homes, but it can work well on other house styles, too. When paired with light trim and stone, such as in the design above, it creates a striking contrast.

Turquoise is a fun choice for those who live in warmer climates; it evokes sunny skies and the sea. If you’re nervous that it’s too bold of a color for your neighborhood, cool it down with white accents. Awnings can offer shade, but they also make your garage door a pretty focal point rather than an overlooked aspect of your home’s design. The best exterior paint ideas will depend on a number of factors, ranging from the location of the house to its architectural style. What works for a seafront villa in a warm climate won’t necessarily work for a rustic barn-style home in the woods, a suburban Victorian, or a townhouse in the city.

Black is a timeless color that adds sophistication and elegance to any home exterior. It pairs well with white, gray, or wood accents and works well for modern and traditional homes. Red is a bold and daring color that adds a touch of drama to any home exterior.

Explainer: What Scaling and Fractals Are, and How Designers Can Use Them

fractal design define 7

This is very likely a key reason that, within urban systems, well-structured pedestrian networks are so important. Behind the door you will find a single 5.25 inch drive bay opening and a large removable plastic mesh filter covering mounting locations for three 120mm or two 140mm fans. Vertical vents line both sides of the front fascia, extending from the top to bottom of the case. The boundaries of living spaces are not simple structures either, but complex membrane-like structures offering their own set of structural choices, either to maximize privacy (by closing a curtain) or publicness (by opening a door).

Define 7 Compact

Remember, modern Ryzen CPUs will lose clocks every 5 degrees or so, so these numbers matter a lot these days. In that same vein, we also received an accessory kit with the Define 7 containing an entire replacement top panel. Using this panel defeats some of the noise damping features of the case, but it does allow mounting fans and radiators, vastly expanding the cooling options. (a) Fractal loading uses a basic scale as a carrier for other successively smaller mechanisms and structures. Far from being monofunctional and simplistic, every structure becomes richly complex and carries information on several distinct scales. (b) Longitudinal compression forms a “folded” fractal, creating a crinkled line that then generates crinkles on its crinkles.

GPU Torture

The top framework is fully removable for unprecedented ease of access to interior components, and five front ports (including one USB Type-C) means you don’t sacrifice expandability for the small footprint. The versatile open layout of the Define 7 Compact allows you to maximize the potential of the small footprint with full-size ATX hardware to meet your exact needs. Always pushing boundaries, our product developers added loads of new features to ensure that the 7 series is the most capable and cohesive Define range we’ve ever released. Featuring the most comprehensive refinement of design elements yet, the Define 7 brings a new body to the long established Define series while staying true to its heritage as a solid platform for the silent PC.

Introducing Define 7 Compact

We criticized the Fractal Define S2 in the past for being basically the same case as the Define R6. The Define 7 is also very similar to the R6, but that makes much more sense for a successor, and the 7 also has some meaningful quality-of-life improvements over the R6 that are worthy of a new case. The Define 7 is up to Fractal’s usual standards of build quality, it’s quiet, it’s flexible by nature, and it doesn’t have the worst possible cooling performance, although we’d definitely recommend some aftermarket fans. $170 is a higher-than-average price for a nice PC case--we’d be more comfortable recommending it to a general audience at $150, especially given the stock cooling performance. That said, the Define 7 is a well-constructed case that’s a great platform for liquid cooled systems, and enthusiasts buying it for that purpose won’t be disappointed.

Define 7 XL

We didn’t use the fan hub for our tests because we need to monitor fan speeds individually, but Fractal gets points for hiding it away so effectively while providing nine fan connections. The positioning is the best use of the top part of the case we’ve seen in a long time. Speaking of side panels, the Define 7’s are a combination of every feature we’ve asked for in case side panels so far. The glass is full-coverage and has minimal black borders at the top and bottom for the largest possible viewing window. It’s easy to work with, it’s not unnecessarily complex, and it works well.

Explainer: What Scaling and Fractals Are, and How Designers Can Use Them

The overall look of Fractal Design's Define series cases is one of the features that makes it popular with gamers and enthusiasts alike. The Define 7, dressed out completely in white, including the fans, is an extremely attractive chassis. Fractal Design's Define series has long been a favorite in the enthusiast community for its class-leading performance and quality construction. We have the white tempered-glass version of the Fractal Design Define 7 mid-tower ATX case on the test bench today to see what it has to offer. For enthusiasts looking for an extremely versatile chassis with a dual-layout interior, the Fractal Design Define 7 is a feature packed case with outstanding thermal and acoustic performance. For GPU thermals with Blender, the Define 7 does OK and is in the middle of the results.

Plenty of room for massive builds

Putting fans under the PSU shroud like this has limited usefulness (although the top of the shroud is ventilated), but Fractal was able to provide that option and so they did, which is a mentality we appreciate. The entire bottom of the chassis is covered by a large plastic mesh filter that is removable from the front. The filter covers two mounting locations for 120mm or 140mm fans and the power supply fan opening. The four large rubber-coated feet keep the case approximately a half inch off the ground.

USB Type-C

A large hole in the motherboard mounting plate facilitates heat-sink changes without the need to remove the motherboard. There are five large cable pass-throughs with rubber grommets in this chassis, four in the motherboard tray and one in the top of the PSU cover. There is also a small slot in the upper right hand corner of the motherboard tray that small wires can be threaded through for cable management. The holes at the upper left-hand edge of the motherboard tray facilitate fan cables or the ATX12V/EPS12V power cable. Accessories for the Fractal Design Define 7 are located in a large box sandwiched between the two styrofoam inserts in the main package that hold the case in place.

These numbers typically closely mirror the GPU torture numbers, as it’s a GPU-heavy load, but they can be impacted by the reduction on CPU focus versus our torture workloads. The 3DMark test loads the system similarly to how a game would, and so this is a stand-in benchmark for game thermals. The case I am talking about is the Define 7 and could easily be one of the most comprehensive cases I have ever reviewed. The Fractal Design Define 7 is a case that checks all the boxes making it an easy choice for PC builders looking for a versatile chassis that can accommodate ambitious builds while leaving room for the inevitable upgrade. Switching between the “open” and “storage” modes is a fairly straightforward process, though time consuming, because the case has to be stripped down to the frame to make the swap. Add to that the numerous enhancements to every aspect of component and cooling support, and it’s clear to see the Define 7 Compact has you well covered.

That puts the case next to the Core P3 open air chassis, the Cooler Master HAF X, and not distant from the stock Meshify C. This transitions the Define 7 toward above average performance, so that’s a good spot to be. The craziest thing is that Fractal could throw a mesh panel on its Define 7 and create an “airflow case,” and it’d manage one of the best performers on the charts. We’d love to see Fractal offer an ultra-fine filter version of this case, since it’s stellar in build quality and design and could be a thermal chart-topper with only one panel changed. Without its restrictive filter or door, the case runs next to the H500M Mesh and NR600 with one extra fan, and the NR600 has an ultra-fine filter on the front.

Also located behind the motherboard tray is a new, low-profile Nexus +2 PWM fan controller that is tucked neatly up out of the way under the upper edge of the case. Not everyone will find this an issue and some will even view this as a bonus, but if you want RGB, you'll need to bring your own. The Define Series of cases focuses on delivering the perfect balance between silent operation and minimalist Scandinavian design. The understated look and feel allows for a natural fit into your home or office while never compromising on quality, performance of configurability.

The Natural History of Model Organisms: The house sparrow in the service of basic and applied biology

house sparrows

The results are published in the Wilson Journal of Ornithology. Reports from nearly 12,500 sites were used and cross-referenced with the National Land Cover database to determine whether the U.S. sightings came from rural or urban locations. These birds have a plant-based diet and tend to focus on seeds; they especially enjoy cracked corn and millet. House sparrows aren’t particularly picky about what they eat, though — you may find them everywhere from at your feeders to munching on crumbs on the grounds of an outdoor restaurant. House sparrows aren't popular among birders, and for good reason. Learn more about them to better deal with these birds at your feeders and nest boxes.

Species names in all available languages

And the fact that people introduced them to this continent is sometimes held against them. When first introduced into the United States in 1851, house sparrows were protected from predators and fed. However, populations expanded enormously in North America and they were soon considered a nuisance species. Since the 1960's, with the changes in farming to larger, single crop farms, populations have declined. They are not, however, seen as threatened and are not included in most Canadian and U.S. regulations.

Black-throated Sparrow

They lay up to four eggs, and these take around two weeks to hatch and a further two weeks for the young to leave the nest. After that, however, the parents look after the young for another month. Abert’s Towhees forage for insects such as beetles, ants, caterpillars, cicadas, and grasshoppers. They will also eat some seeds, especially grasses, in winter.

It has been hypothesized that DNA methylation or other molecular epigenetic mechanisms may have affected the ability of populations to colonize new areas (Box 1). In Australian house sparrows, a similar pattern was found as well as an epigenetic signature mirroring that of genetic population clustering arising from the original source population (Sheldon et al., 2018). One form of epigenetic potential is the number of CpG sites (sequences in the genome where DNA methylation can occur) in gene promoters. Nestling house sparrows are fed an insect-based diet for the first three days after hatching. Later, following fledging, they favor grains, especially outside urban areas (Anderson, 2006). Adult house sparrows have a fairly opportunistic diet throughout much of the year, especially in cities and suburbs where human refuse is plentiful (Summers-Smith, 1988).

house sparrows

Noisy nestlings usually attract the parents who will continue to care for them. They should not take more than a half hour or so, as growing young birds need constant feeding. If the adults do not return to nestlings, contact a wildlife rehabilitator in your area for advice.

Breeding biology

house sparrows

Scare house sparrows away from sheltered spots in the evening so they will be forced to find less protected spots that make them more susceptible to nighttime predators. Installing mesh beneath a home’s eaves may also be effective in keeping house sparrows from roosting in those protected areas. House sparrows prefer to feed on the ground or on large, stable hopper or platform feeders; remove these feeder styles to discourage house sparrows from visiting. Instead, use clinging mesh feeders, socks, or tube feeders with perches shorter than 5/8 of an inch to prevent house sparrows from perching easily. Clean up spilled seed quickly to discourage ground-feeding sparrows.

Breeding period

Dark-eyed Juncos are sparrows that are different a color depending on the state. They are generally slate-colored in the east and black, white, and brown in the west. California Towhees are large, brown,  plump sparrows with long tails, short wings, and a rusty patch under their tails. This guide will help you identify the types of sparrows spotted in California according to avibase and uses data collected from bird watchers on ebird to give real information about when these birds can be spotted. Many sparrows have distinctive head markings and often migrate, so you can discount them at certain times of the year. These two pieces of information help with identification and are included in this guide.

House sparrow nest appearance

This guide will help you identify 29 species of sparrows by sight and sound that can be spotted in California. Also, find out what time of year to spot them and some fun facts. House sparrows incubate the eggs for an average of 11 days before egg hatching. In higher latitudes which normally imply cold average temperatures, eggs take longer to hatch and may take up to 14 days. Egg color ranges from light brown to greenish or bluish-white.

Attract Califonia Towhees to your yard with millet on-ground feeders and plant native berry plants. They lay up to five eggs, and these take up to two weeks to hatch and at least a week for the young to fledge. If you learn a few of the songs of sparrows by listening to the audio recordings in the guide, it will help, especially with some of the more distinctive sparrow songs.

By waiting to open your nest boxes until migratory birds return, you can ensure that they have a better chance of finding an unoccupied site. Simply plug the entrance hole of your boxes until nesting season begins. Note that this means that your resident chickadees, titmice, and nuthatches may also have to wait for the migrants to return.

She roosts inside the nest upon starting to lay eggs, but she does not incubate the eggs. The initiation of nest building depends on whether males are still unmated or the pair is already formed. Unmated males find a nesting site and build a nest or start one.

The male advertises his presence and the nest site by calling persistently while perched next to the nest site. Prospective females inspect the nest site and stay or move on. Once a pair is formed, the female takes over mainly to make the interior cup and lining. House sparrows are year-round residents and breed where they occur. The general feeling was that this could be achieved by simply renaming some of the sections and adding a few guiding sentences throughout. House sparrows are one of the most ubiquitous birds in the world (Anderson, 2006).

200+ Best Bridal Mehndi Designs of All Times to Add to Your Wedding Checklist

bridal mehndi design

Floral designs are another popular choice for brides, especially if the plant has significance to your life or wedding. For instance, the co-founder of Venus et Fleur incorporated rose motifs into her henna design at her lavish Miami wedding. The intricate details featured a large bloom on the palm of each hand, smaller blooms on the front and back of each finger, and a rose-adorned mandala on the back of each hand. For her at-home wedding in Tennessee, this bride's henna started at her cuticles and crawled all the way up her arm to her elbow, creating the illusion of a chic lace glove.

Those brides who want to try something new and out of the blue can try this style out. Some brides like to wear simple designs on the foot as they are hard to keep on for longer hours, but most go for heavy foot mehndi designs to make the foot look more beautiful. Before applying this bridal mehndi on foot, have good pedicure toes and waxed legs. This new bridal mehndi is filled with intricate patterns and is only suitable for fair skin tone. In earlier times, when designs were that popular, women’s used to simply form round circular motifs or make flowers placed precisely in the centre of the palm.

How about the day your man when down on his knees to propose to you? It will be a beautiful way to incorporate a part of your love story in your bridal mehndi designs. You can also choose a bridal mehndi design that is inspired by traditional Arabic mehndi designs and patterns.

All the brides who love watching a good series, here you go. Throw in some dotwork blended with tiny stars, and dainty flowers and witness the magic. To add depth and definition to the design add some leafy vines and strings. And you can play around with these mandalas as much as you like. Take the bride here, for instance, her back hand looks stunning with that floral Rajasthani mandala etched out.

The reason why it attracts so much that it is very precise and thus, kind of hypnotic. It is not a totally traditional design and is perfect for the contemporary bride. Get a central, quirky motif - it could be a circular design, a dialogue box or even a creature feature (and no, we mean peacocks, parrots and even elephants here). Try your hand with words like Patakha, Ladkiwale or even Team Dulhaniya. You could even garnish it with a nath to get the message across.

These designs enhance the bride's hands and feet with refined artistry, making them a popular choice for those who appreciate understated yet captivating adornment. Take inspiration from this stunning henna pattern that not only looks simple but equally elegant. In the midst of traditional motifs and patterns like paisley, flowers and vines you see modern loves of the bride slipped in quite subtly.

The traditional patterns with tiny leaves and floral motifs fill the hand, giving the bride an authentic look. With this design on your hands, you can show off your hands with style. One mehndi trend that has taken over the Indian wedding fashion world since its arrival is the gorgeous Arabic mehndi trend. This style of bridal mehndi design features minimal henna patterns, usually starting from the tip of the index finger and running down to the forearm. Floral, vines and other ethnic mehndi motifs are the key elements of this henna style.

Wrist length mehndi is also much in fashion these days as they are easier to keep and look equally beautiful. Keeping gaps between the designs and shading a few portions enhances the designs. Such methods define the artist’s creativity by mixing simple portions with fine, detailed work. The fingers are kept simple with bigger motifs, while the palm portion is filled up in a few parts.

Sun, moon, and star motifs symbolise everlasting love and unity in your relationship, just as these celestial bodies have stood the test of time. These designs add a touch of magic and wonder to your bridal mehndi design. The desert state of India, Rajasthan, offers one of the most elaborate and detailed Mehndi designs. The Rajasthani mehndi design for brides features motifs inspired by Rajasthani culture, including peacocks, elephants, and traditional Rajputana artwork.

1) Martin Lawrence is still a hardbitten FBI agent who'll pull out all the stops to catch his man, provided that by "pull out all the stops" you mean "dress up as an obese female pensioner and dance around in a funny way even though it isn't immediately helpful to his investigation". Believe it or not, the Big Momma's House series rigidly follows the classic Hollywood trilogy structure. Big Momma's House was an origin story, revealing how Martin Lawrence first came to dress up like a fat old lady. Then in Big Momma's House 2, things began to fall apart for Lawrence, as evidenced in the scene where he lost his job as a nanny for being incompetent and quite creepy.

Surrounded by attractive young women, Trent nearly blows his cover, but befriends a girl named Haley Robinson. The headmistress announces that a historic music box has been stolen from the library, and Malcolm deduces that it contains the flash drive. While scoping out the library, Malcolm encounters security guard Kurtis Kool, who attempts to woo him while giving a tour. Seeing a picture of Kurtis with Canetti, Malcolm realizes that he is the friend, and tries to find out more about the music box. 7) And then, even though – and I can't make this clear enough - he's really a man wearing a female fat suit, Martin decides to pose naked for a life-drawing class. And yet, despite all this, he's still decided to take all of his clothes off.

Malcolm once again becomes his wife Sherry's grandmother, Big Momma, and also disguises Trent as an obese girl named "Charmaine", Big Momma's great-niece. Big Momma takes a job as a house mother at the school , while Charmaine is enrolled as a student. Malcolm, in an attempt to capture Russian gang member Chirkoff, uses an informant named Canetti to deliver a flash drive to the gang. Canetti reveals that the flash drive is empty and a duplicate is hidden with a friend at the Georgia Girls School for the Arts. The film was directed by John Whitesell and stars Martin Lawrence reprising his role as FBI agent Malcolm Turner.

Trent accidentally draws their attention as he attempts to pursue Haley and explain himself. Just as he recovers the flash drive, the gang members catch up and hold him at gunpoint. Big Momma interferes and provides an escape, but all three are caught again and Malcolm's disguise is revealed. Just as Chirkoff is about to kill them, Kurtis arrives with a taser and saves the day. During the exchange, Canetti's cover is blown and he is killed, which Trent witnesses. Malcolm eventually rescues Trent and they escape, but as Trent's car was left at the scene Malcolm knows the gang members will be able to track them down so the two are forced to hide undercover.

A music video titled "Imma Do It Big" was released on February 9, 2011. The song is by Brandon T. Jackson and features One Chance and T-Pain. The song starts off with a verse by Jackson and then a verse from T-Pain, then another verse by Jackson, but this verse is rapped by his real-life alter ego Charmaine. During this encounter, Malcolm reveals his true identity to Kurtis.
